What is a Rural Collaborative?
YVPS3 is a rural education collaborative - a partnership between school districts, higher education and industry that provide increased opportunities for students throughout the Yampa Valley region to access high-quality programming and earn college credit and industry credentials before graduating from high school. While rural communities and small schools offer many benefits, career and technical education can be costly, and limited in schools with limited staff and funding. A formalized collaborative helps districts work together, alongside institutes of higher education, industry partners and regional workforce and economic development groups to increase career-connected opportunities for students, align pathways to workforce needs in the community and develop a more robust talent pipeline for communities.
